From Sunday June 11 to Saturday June 17, Diabetes UK are promoting Diabetes Week with the commanding theme: “Know diabetes – Fight diabetes”.

By approaching the disease in two ways, Diabetes UK are aiming to increase the understanding of diabetes, as well as how to manage and support it – with a vision for the future where the it can no longer do any harm.

Diabetes UK’s website is full of useful information and resources on the disease and how to get involved with Diabetes Week, and throughout the event they are encouraging people already living with the disease to share their stories online – and inspire others to do likewise – using the Hashtags: #knowdiabetes & #fightdiabetes .

Here at Hygia Healthcare Training, we regularly update our clinical courses related to the treatment of diabetes, and offer accredited, expert training on how to treat those living with the disease. Attendees to our related healthcare training courses will learn about prevention, treatment – including injectable therapies – and essential insulin safety and understanding.

Alongside the essential practical and academic side of all of our healthcare training is the less scholarly, more personal side to providing treatment – dealing compassionately with the people affected by diabetes – and after years of experience in delivering training solutions, we have become experts in providing this.
